REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – WESTERN CANADA

Job Description: The Regional Sales Manager – Western Canada is responsible for leading commercial growth and customer service excellence across Western Canada. This role combines sales leadership, account management, and operational coordination to ensure strong customer relationships, profitable revenue growth, and consistent service delivery. This individual will oversee a portfolio of key accounts while eventually managing and developing a regional sales team. The role is accountable for executing Batory’s sales strategy, expanding market presence, and delivering best-in-class service to customers across the food, beverage, and ingredient sectors.

Key Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Growth Establish and execute regional sales strategies aligned with Batory’s overall business objectives and growth targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding share within existing accounts. Drive margin management discipline and ensure pricing strategies support sustainable profitability. Lead, coach, and develop Account Managers and sales personnel across Western Canada to drive profitable revenue growth. Account & Relationship Management Serve as a senior point of contact for key customers, building long-term, strategic partnerships across multiple levels of the organization. Oversee account planning processes, including identifying opportunities, risks, and growth strategies. Lead strategic business reviews with customers to strengthen relationships and uncover additional growth opportunities. Customer Service & Operational Excellence Ensure a high level of service delivery by coordinating across sales support, supply chain, and operations teams. Act as a local point of contact to service providers, including 3PL warehousing and transportation providers. Partner with internal stakeholders (Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain) to ensure customer needs are met effectively. Support customer onboarding, ensuring seamless integration into Batory systems and processes. Ensure a smooth transition of supplier turnover accounts across Western Canada. Monitor customer performance, including forecasting accuracy, service levels, and issue resolution. Market & Strategy Execution Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs across the Western Canadian market. Participate in local trade events as needed to promote Batory across the food and Nutra industries. Identify key growth segments and develop targeted strategies to increase market penetration. Contribute to the development and execution of “The Batory Way” of account management and customer engagement. Education Personal Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 7+ years of experience in food, beverage, or ingredient sales, including leadership experience. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams. Strong background in consultative or solution-based selling with a focus on long-term customer relationships. Demonstrated success in achieving revenue and margin growth. Strong business acumen. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Collaborative leadership style with strong cross-functional engagement skills. Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and high level of accountability. Willingness to travel across Western Canada as required. Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered an asset.
