Position Summary
As a Sales Representative at Bluewater Energy, you will guide homeowners and business owners through their renewable energy journey with a consultative, trust-first approach. You will identify client needs, design tailored energy solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to installation handoff. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, accountable, and energised by helping people make smart, long-term investments.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Business Development
- Prospect and qualify high-potential residential and commercial clients using CRM systems, online databases, and outbound outreach
- Cold-call and engage potential clients to generate new sales opportunities
- Deliver tailored energy solutions through a consultative sales approach, in person, by phone, or via video
- Prepare and present professional, competitive proposals
- Navigate negotiations and close contracts while maintaining Bluewater's standard of integrity and care
Pipeline & Client Management
- Maintain regular, meaningful contact with leads throughout the sales cycle
- Build long-lasting client relationships grounded in trust, follow-through, and genuine care
- Ensure seamless project handoff and client satisfaction post-sale
- Upsell and cross-sell services where appropriate to maximise client value
CRM & Reporting
- Log all client communications, activities, and pipeline updates in Appello CRM
- Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics
- Prepare regular sales performance reports for the management team
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with design, operations, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Share client feedback and market insights with leadership
- Contribute to team best practices and support a culture of continuous improvement
Product Knowledge & Professional Development
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our full product portfolio, including solar PV, battery storage, backup generators, EV chargers, and power control systems
- Attend training sessions and stay current on industry trends, Ontario incentive programmes, and competitor activity
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Sales, Business Development, or a related field
- 3+ years in high-performance sales (renewables, home improvement, construction, or related industries preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms
- Skilled in competitive quoting, proposal development, and objection handling
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
