Winnipeg Autoshow is hiring an Automotive Sales Manager

Winnipeg Autoshow, part of the 401 Group (one of Canada's largest and fastest-growing automotive groups), is looking for a proven closer to lead our used vehicle sales team. This is an active, hands-on sales manager role. You won't be sitting in an office waiting for a sale — you'll be on the floor with your reps every single day, desking deals, appraising trades, working the phones, and driving the numbers.

Location: 3165 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg MB

Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 per year

What you'll do (this is an active manager role)

  • Coach the team every day. Walk-arounds, role-plays, one-on-ones, objection handling, product knowledge — you develop your reps and raise their close rate.

  • Desk deals. Structure every deal cleanly and profitably, set the business office up for success, and teach your reps how a good deal gets built.

  • Close. Step in to touch desk with sales reps, work save-a-deals, and show your team how it's done.

  • Manage inventory. Appraise trades accurately, keep the lot turning, and make sure we're stocked with the right units at the right money. Used vehicle management is the engine of this store — you own it.

  • Work the CRM. Know your pipeline cold. Follow up, hold the team accountable to their tasks, and make sure no opportunity slips through.

  • Call customers. Make the calls — sold, unsold, service-to-sales, be-backs. Lead from the front on the phones.

  • Own the numbers. Track and report on volume, gross, close rate, appointment set/show, and CSI. Know where you are every day, not just at month-end.

  • Build the culture. Professional, high-energy, customer-first. The kind of showroom top salespeople want to work in.

What you bring

  • Proven closing experience with numbers you can speak to (volume, gross, close rate, CSI).

  • A hands-on leadership style — you lead from the floor, not from behind a desk.

  • Strong deal-structure instincts and comfort desking deals.

  • Strong used vehicle appraisal and inventory management experience — you know how to buy, price, and turn pre-owned.

  • Manitoba Sales Permit

  • Excellent coaching and communication skills — you make the people around you better.

  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's licence and clean driving abstract.

  • Strong CRM discipline and comfort with modern dealership technology (PBS an asset).

  • A team player who raises the room, not the kind of leader who manages by pressure or fear.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site at Winnipeg Autoshow. Rotating schedule across our standard dealership hours, with a day off during the week.
