The Role: Dodds Garage Doors is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Commercial Sales Representative to join our B2B sales team in Ontario. In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining relationships with key commercial stakeholders, including property managers, construction project managers, architects, and maintenance supervisors. Your responsibilities will include managing existing accounts, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and promoting Dodds' preventative maintenance program to ensure long-term customer retention and satisfaction. Above all, you will act as a technical advisor: asking the right questions to understand each customer’s operational needs, then engineering and selling the right solution. You will also manage your territory strategically—analyzing it to find the highest-value opportunities and areas for growth. Who Is the Ideal Candidate? What You Will Do: · Identifying Prospects: Researching and identifying potential clients through market analysis, networking, or lead generation tools. · Cold Calling/Outreach: Initiating contact with prospective clients through calls, emails, or meetings to present products or services. · Territory Planning: Strategically analyzing your territory to prioritize the highest-value opportunities and plan for long-term account growth. · Needs Diagnosis & Solution Selling: Asking probing questions to uncover each client’s operational challenges, then demonstrating how the right Dodds solution solves them—selling on value and outcomes, not just features. · Renewals and Retention: Managing contract renewals and ensuring client retention through personalized engagement. · Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of contracts or agreements. · Skill Development: Attending training sessions, workshops, and seminars to improve sales techniques and industry knowledge. Expectations for Success: · Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales quotas within designated timeframes. · Lead Conversion: Maintain a high conversion rate of prospects to customers, showcasing effective sales techniques. · Client Retention: Ensure strong customer retention rates through excellent service, follow-ups, and relationship-building. · Revenue Growth: Contribute to steady growth in revenue by upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the customer base.
What You Bring to The Table: · Proven experience and success in B2B sales. · Experience with technical, consultative, or solution-based selling. Garage door, construction, building-products, or related technical-industry experience is a strong asset. · Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical and problem-solving skills—able to diagnose technical needs and design tailored solutions. · Self-motivated and self-accountable, taking full ownership of your territory, pipeline, and results. · A strategic approach to territory management—spotting opportunities and planning proactively for growth. · Exceptional communication and consultative-selling skills—able to earn trust with diverse stakeholders and clearly articulate value and solutions, not rapport alone. · Strong ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. · High level of expertise, with a focus on swift execution and delivering outstanding results. · Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and excellence. · Passion for representing a trusted brand and driving business growth in the commercial market. · Keen eye for detail and dedication to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Additional Role Details: Work Hours: Five days per week (subject to change). Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Compensation: Commission-based with a base salary during training. Total earnings potential ranges from $90,000 to $140,000. Perks and Benefits: o Comprehensive benefits package. o On-site parking. o Fuel allowance. Location: Hybrid position with a territory centered in Burlington, ON. Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years in sales, ideally in a technical, consultative, or solution-based B2B environment. Language Requirement: Proficiency in English.
