FUNDRAISING OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Toronto / Full-Time, 18-Month Maternity Leave Contract (with possibility for extension)
This role involves remote/work-from-home arrangements with a requirement for a minimum of two (2) days per week working onsite and may be subject to change as the organization works through its hybrid workforce plan and/or changing needs of the Foundation. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health teaching hospital and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. CAMH Foundation is charged with raising and stewarding funds in support of CAMH. Its role is to help transform the way we understand and address mental illness by raising awareness and increasing engagement across the country. The Direct & Digital Fundraising team is responsible for ensuring our unrestricted revenue stream of funds grows over time - we have clear goals and an open mind on how to achieve them. Compensation & Benefits
Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $70,562.85 to $80,083.23, annually. Contract employees may choose between two options - 22% pay in lieu of sick time, vacation, holidays, and health and dental benefits, or; 20% pay in lieu of sick time, vacation, holidays, and enrolment into HOOPP (defined benefit pension plan). Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads operational tasks related to large scale telemarketing and SMS programs, including data imports and exports, gift files, and audience criteria selection. Liaises internally with cross-functional teams including Gift Processing, Finance, and Operations for all third-party vendor data, considerations, and process improvements. Manages operational tasks related to face-to-face fundraising programs, including inbound gift files, data exports, and resolving data issues with vendors. Provides strategic recommendations to external vendors to optimize telemarketing, SMS, and direct mail programs based on consolidated vendor reports and regular call review to improve processes, manage data, and ensure brand alignment. Supports in reviewing purchase orders and budget allocation for relevant programs at fiscal start to ensure layout is optimized. Supports on direct mail and multichannel campaigns including audience criteria, segment and live review, and template and gift matrix updates in line with campaign plans. Works with Donor Experience Representatives to establish processes and ensure donor complaints, and vendor identified issues and feedback are responded to promptly with the appropriate channel and message; providing information as required. Collaborates with the Operations team on developing, maintaining, and distributing reports and dashboards that analyze performance of campaigns, segments and products. Creates and maintain a shared repository of key marketing processes, reports, and analyses. Responsible for file and folder naming conventions, creating new folders for the fiscal start, file purges, and encryptions; keeping the rest of the team aware and fresh on processes. Manages fulfillment and stock of marketing collateral for the greater marketing team. Oversees Marketing Operations Brief creation, support, review and distribution to ensure key stakeholders are aware of upcoming campaigns, and their action items. Manages cross-functional projects and tasks within Direct & Digital Fundraising team that recur quarterly or annually to ensure the team is up to date and working effectively. Document and update key team processes. Works with the Senior Manager, Direct & Digital Fundraising and Manager, Marketing Insights & Analytics on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM:
Undergraduate degree in a related field, preferably business administration or marketing. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in non-profit operations role is preferred. Exceptional project management skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask to deliver quality programs on time and on budget. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing multiple internal and external partners to support the delivery of complex programs that drive revenue and results. Customer service oriented; proven ability to effectively respond to various types of people. Proven ability to build and sustain strong working relationships with colleagues, vendors and key stakeholders at all levels; capable of exercising independent judgement and flexibility. Analytical & strategic thinking coupled with financial acumen, with knowledge of forecasting, budgeting and planning. Experience managing competing priorities and complex campaigns. Microsoft Office Suite-literate, with a strong proficiency in Excel, including VBA coding and experience in Dashboard Development. Strong understanding and working knowledge of online fundraising and CRM software and tools, specifically Raiser’s Edge. Luminate Online, FundraiseUp are assets. Curious and collaborative team player who is willing to learn and drive for success in support of CAMH Foundation’s mission.
