Our client, a well-established and growing leader in the fresh food distribution industry, is seeking an Account Manager to join their high-performing Sales team in Vancouver, BC. This opportunity is ideal for a sales professional who has experience working within the perishable food industry and understands the fast-paced nature of products with limited shelf life. Candidates must have previous sales or account management experience in perishables such as produce, seafood, dairy, meat, or other food distribution sectors. Compensation, Benefits & Perks Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000 Commission + Bonus Program with strong earning potential Full-time, 5 days/week on-site in Vancouver, BC Extended health benefits Vacation and paid time off Cell phone allowance Travel expenses covered when applicable Comprehensive onboarding and in-house training Long-term career growth and development opportunities Key Responsibilities Manage and grow an established portfolio of customer accounts while building long-term relationships with key decision-makers Develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation Prepare sales plans, forecasts, and account strategies to achieve growth targets Negotiate pricing and provide customers with informed recommendations based on market conditions, supply, and product availability Conduct regular client visits to strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities for expansion Collaborate with internal teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities Provide account coverage and support for fellow Account Managers when required Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering exceptional customer service and follow-through Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of sales and/or account management experience within the perishable food industry Direct experience selling or managing accounts involving produce, seafood, dairy, meat, or other food distribution products is required Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills Proven ability to manage accounts while developing new business opportunities Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional client-facing presence Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, or a related field is considered an asset A second language is an asset
