The Pro Shop Associate is a team member with a passion for and experience in fishing and hunting. The role requires to work with the fishing and hunting customers to identify their needs, assist them with finding products, explaining technical specifications of products and making professional recommendations to help them in making informed buying decisions.

Canadian Tire Langford is looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Firearms & Outdoor Sports Associate to join our Pro Shop team.

What You”ll Do

• Help customers find the right firearms, hunting, fishing, and outdoor products for their needs
• Share your product knowledge and real-world experience to provide professional recommendations
• Explain technical specifications, features, and safe handling procedures
• Assist customers with hunting and fishing licences
• Maintain safe firearm handling practices and follow all legal and company procedures
• Merchandise and stock shelves to keep the department clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Stay current on new products, trends, regulations, and promotions
• Operate store technology systems and firearm tracking software
• Support customers with warranty questions and product troubleshooting
• Assist with other Sports Department tasks as needed

Requirements / Skills

What We”re Looking For

• Valid Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) required
• Passion for firearms, hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable explaining technical products and regulations to customers
• Ability to stay calm, professional, and safety-focused in all situations
• Comfortable using computers, retail systems, and handheld technology
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
• Ability to work in a physically active environment, including lifting merchandise and being on your feet throughout the day
• Evening and weekend availability required
