About the Opportunity Our client is a well-established global software company with thousands of customers worldwide, due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Account Manager to their Vancouver sales team. They have a long history of developing innovative solutions that help organizations manage, secure, and optimize their IT environments. Their products are trusted by businesses, educational institutions, and government organizations across more than 150 countries.
This is an excellent opportunity for a consultative software sales professional who enjoys managing existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand accounts and win new business.
The Opportunity Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will own the full sales cycle within an assigned portfolio of accounts and target markets. You will work closely with customers to understand their business challenges, position the right technology solutions, and develop long term relationships that drive recurring revenue and account growth. This is an office-based role that combines account management, solution selling, and business development within a collaborative, high performance sales environment.
Key Responsibilities Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts Identify and close new business opportunities within existing and prospective customers Conduct discovery meetings to understand business needs and technical challenges Present and recommend software solutions that align with customer objectives Manage opportunities from initial qualification through negotiation and close Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive account planning and prospecting Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts Meet or exceed revenue and performance targets Maintain detailed customer activity and opportunity information within Salesforce or a comparable CRM Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Qualifications Five or more years of successful software sales experience Experience selling enterprise software, SaaS, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, endpoint management, or related technology solutions Proven experience selling to IT Administrators, IT Managers, IT Directors, or other technology decision makers Demonstrated success managing the complete sales cycle from discovery through closing Consistent history of achieving or exceeding sales quotas Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce Experience selling into the education sector is considered an asset
