Job Posting

Tamlin International Homes, a division of Alliance Advanced Building Systems Ltd., has been an industry leader in the design and manufacture of West Coast prefabricated home packages since 1977.

While we specialize in Douglas Fir Timber Frame (Post and Beam) homes, we have developed a market niche in offering both west coast contemporary and traditional timber designs that is sought out across Canada and the United States. Tamlin’s Prefabricated Home Division is part of one of the largest building component manufacturers in Canada and we are focused on investing in “people” to grow our business. Our mission is to shape our company by developing relationships built on integrity, hard work, exceptional value, and support.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven individual to join our team as a Technical Sales Representative at our newly renovated head office in Coquitlam, B.C. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this position will be responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to clients.

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will use your knowledge of residential design and construction to build the Tamlin brand, one project at a time. You will use your expertise in customer service to work with each client as you move them through the process of sales qualification, home design, estimation, contract administration, production and final shipping of their house package. With the support of our seasoned team of in-house staff, industry-leading prefabricated systems, and comprehensive on-the-job training, your success will only be limited to your own commitment and drive.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries by phone, email, video conference, and in person.

  • Qualify new opportunities and build strong relationships with prospective clients throughout a consultative sales cycle.

  • Manage and grow your sales pipeline using company-generated leads from our website, digital marketing, social media, referrals, and industry networks.

  • Utilize our CRM platform (HubSpot) to track client activity, manage follow-up, and maintain accurate sales records.

  • Guide qualified clients through the sales process, from initial consultation and design discussions through quotation, contract execution, and final package delivery.

  • Work closely with our in-house design and support teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

  • Present quotations, specifications, and contracts clearly and professionally.

  • Maintain consistent follow-up, pipeline activity, and sales reporting.

  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.

  • Represent Tamlin Homes with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.

  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

  • Consistently follow up on opportunities.

  • Convert qualified leads into signed contracts.

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience from first contact to final delivery.

  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals and activity targets.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales success, preferably in residential construction, building materials, technical sales, or related industries.

  • A track record of building relationships, earning trust, and closing deals.

  • Confidence managing longer sales cycles and high-value purchasing decisions.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of personal accountability, organization, and follow-through.

  • Comfort working independently while contributing to a team environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Experience with HubSpot is an asset.

  • Ability to read and interpret residential plans is an asset.

  • Knowledge of residential construction, timber frame, design, or project management is an asset.

We value our employees and offer a comprehensive compensation plan including a competitive salary and benefits package consisting of Life Insurance, Health, Dental, Short Term, Long-Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program, Health Spending Account, and a Pension Plan.

Pay Range $60,000 to $70,000 Annually plus commissions earned.
