About the role
Role Overview
OBRYN GUARD® is seeking an exceptional Head of Marketing to build and lead the company’s marketing function from the ground up. OBRYN GUARD is developing an automated cyber risk and compliance platform for hotels, multi-location businesses, and regulated organizations. Our platform helps businesses identify cyber risks, manage compliance requirements, monitor controls, train staff, organize security evidence, and prepare for audits and cyber insurance reviews. The Head of Marketing will develop the company’s marketing strategy, strengthen its brand, generate qualified demand, support the sales pipeline, and position OBRYN GUARD as a trusted authority in cybersecurity and compliance automation. This is not a basic marketing-management role. We need a hands-on leader who can build strategy, create content, edit video, manage email campaigns, launch demand-generation programs, analyze performance, and build a scalable marketing operation.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Brand Strategy
Develop and execute OBRYN GUARD’s complete marketing strategy. Define positioning, messaging, category narrative, and competitive differentiation. Build plans for hotels, regulated businesses, government organizations, and strategic partners. Translate technical cybersecurity and compliance topics into clear business language. Establish objectives tied to qualified pipeline and revenue. Build and protect a consistent enterprise-level brand identity. Maintain standards for messaging, design, voice, visuals, and communications. Ensure all marketing communicates trust, professionalism, credibility, and technical authority. Maintain consistency across all marketing and sales channels.
Content and Social Media
Develop content for executives, IT leaders, compliance teams, and hotel groups. Create LinkedIn posts, articles, newsletters, reports, guides, case studies, landing pages, carousels, and thought-leadership content. Build a content calendar connected to pipeline and revenue goals. Turn insights from security specialists into clear executive-level content. Create campaigns covering cyber risk, audit readiness, cyber insurance, vendor risk, access control, and compliance monitoring. Develop founder-led content that strengthens executive visibility and company credibility. Manage OBRYN GUARD’s presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant channels. Create captions, campaign messaging, educational posts, and carousel outlines. Track engagement, profile visits, link clicks, inquiries, and booked calls. Identify cybersecurity trends, compliance updates, hospitality risks, and timely content opportunities.
Video Production and Editing
Plan, record, edit, and publish professional short-form and long-form video. Produce executive videos, product demonstrations, social clips, advertisements, webinars, and customer stories. Create polished captions, transitions, motion graphics, branded templates, and visual effects. Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form assets. Maintain an enterprise-level production standard.
Email Marketing
Build and manage segmented B2B email campaigns. Develop nurture sequences, newsletters, onboarding communications, and re-engagement campaigns. Write effective subject lines, email copy, calls to action, and conversion-focused sequences. Manage segmentation, automation, deliverability, testing, reporting, and optimization. Coordinate campaigns with sales to generate qualified meetings and opportunities.
Demand Generation and Product Marketing
Build campaigns that generate qualified interest from target organizations. Develop landing pages, lead magnets, webinars, reports, assessments, and conversion funnels. Coordinate inbound and outbound marketing with SDRs, Account Executives, and sales leadership. Test paid advertising, retargeting, partnerships, industry events, and account-based marketing. Improve conversion rates and focus on pipeline contribution rather than vanity metrics. Clearly communicate what OBRYN GUARD does, who it serves, and why it is different. Develop product positioning, launch plans, sales-enablement materials, competitor comparisons, and customer use cases. Work with product, security, compliance, sales, and development teams. Help sales teams explain technical capabilities to non-technical decision-makers.
Website, Analytics, and Performance
Own the marketing performance and messaging quality of the OBRYN GUARD website. Improve positioning, structure, landing pages, calls to action, and conversion paths. Coordinate website improvements with designers and developers. Establish marketing metrics, dashboards, attribution models, and reporting systems. Track qualified leads, conversion rates, acquisition costs, engagement, pipeline contribution, and revenue influence. Test messaging, creative assets, emails, calls to action, and conversion funnels. Report directly to leadership on results, weaknesses, opportunities, and next steps.
Leadership and Team Building
Build the foundation of OBRYN GUARD’s internal marketing department. Establish workflows, approval processes, campaign calendars, reporting systems, and quality standards. Identify when specialists, contractors, agencies, or employees are required. Recruit and manage future content, design, video, communications, and performance-marketing talent. Hold the marketing function accountable for execution, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact.
Qualifications
Significant experience leading marketing for a SaaS, cybersecurity, technology, compliance, professional-services, or B2B organization. Strong experience in brand strategy, market positioning, and differentiated messaging. Proven ability to build and execute multi-channel campaigns. Advanced experience with email marketing, automation, segmentation, testing, and analytics. Strong video-production and video-editing capabilities. Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and content-development skills. Experience with demand generation, lead nurturing, landing pages, and conversion funnels. Strong understanding of LinkedIn and executive-level B2B marketing. Ability to create content that supports lead generation, sales conversations, and brand authority. Experience working with founders, sales teams, product teams, designers, developers, and technical specialists. Ability to turn complex cybersecurity topics into clear business messaging. Experience connecting marketing activity to pipeline and revenue. A portfolio demonstrating high-quality work and measurable results.
Preferred Experience
Experience marketing cybersecurity, GRC, compliance automation, risk management, cyber insurance, or enterprise software. Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, HIPAA, and GDPR. Understanding of vendor risk, phishing, ransomware, access control, incident response, and audit readiness. Experience marketing to hotels, multi-location businesses, government buyers, universities, or regulated organizations. Experience creating founder-led content for CEOs or B2B executives. Experience supporting outbound sales teams with campaign angles and sales-enablement content. Experience with account-based marketing and enterprise sales cycles. Experience building marketing operations within an early-stage company. Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, design, and professional video-editing platforms.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is strategic, organized, commercially focused, and capable of executing without requiring a large existing team. OBRYN GUARD does not need random marketing noise or generic cybersecurity posts. We need sharp, credible, executive-level marketing that helps decision-makers understand cyber risk, recognize the value of the platform, trust the company, and take the next step toward a sales conversation. The successful candidate should think like a strategist, write like a professional, execute like a specialist, analyze performance like an operator, and build systems like a department leader.
This Role Is Not a Fit If Your experience is limited to basic social media management. You only create strategies and expect others to execute them. You require a large team or agency budget before producing results. You cannot provide a strong portfolio or measurable outcomes. You focus on followers and impressions without connecting marketing to pipeline. You avoid hands-on content creation, video editing, email marketing, or campaign execution. You cannot explain technical products clearly to business decision-makers. You rely on generic AI-generated content without strategic judgment or quality control.
Generic applications without relevant work samples or measurable results will not be considered.
Thank you, Leadership Team OBRYN GUARD Inc.
