About the role
Hunting Canada has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales and Operations Specialist with our Well Intervention team. The Technical Sales and Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the commercialization, sales growth, technical support, and operational delivery of Well Intervention equipment, namely the Tenax product portfolio across the Canadian market. The role will serve as the primary technical interface between Hunting, customers, and Tenax, supporting both commercial development and successful field execution.
The position combines business development, technical sales, field operations support, customer training, and product lifecycle management to establish Hunting as the leading provider of Tenax recovery technologies in Canada.
The successful candidate will be located in the Calgary area. This role requires on-site presence within a flexible environment. Occasional travel to customer’s locations throughout Western Canada, as well as to our Hunting locations is required. Responsibilities:
The specific responsibilities of this position are as follows.
Business Development and Sales
- Develop new business opportunities for the HydraShock™ and HydraCut™ product lines.
- Identify target customers, applications, and market opportunities throughout Canada.
- Support customer meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and technical recommendations.
- Develop long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities to expand product adoption.
- Maintain market intelligence covering customer activity, competitors, pricing, and emerging technologies.
Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance before, during, and after field operations.
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate recovery solution for each application.
- Support operational planning and job preparation.
- Participate in field deployments where required.
- Conduct failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Support inventory management of rental and sales equipment.
- Maintain asset integrity and equipment readiness.
- Coordinate equipment mobilization, maintenance, inspection, and repair activities.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years' experience in Well Intervention, Coiled Tubing, or Thru-Tubing operations.
- Strong knowledge of fishing, milling, recovery operations, pressure control, and intervention equipment.
- Experience supporting technical sales and customer-facing operations.
- Previous experience with Thru-Tubing recovery technologies.
- Workshop and asset management experience.
- Experience supporting product commercialization.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Canada.
- Strong understanding of HSE and operational risk management.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean abstract, as travel is required.
- Must be eligible for international travel
