We are now hiring a Technical Sales & Business Development Lead. Internally, this role will operate as Blackcreek’s Sales & Client Success Lead, helping build a stronger, more consistent sales and client success function.

About the Role This is a hands-on sales leadership role for someone who can sell, lead, and build.

As the Sales & Client Success Lead, you will help drive revenue growth, improve pipeline discipline, strengthen business development activity, and support a more proactive approach to client retention and expansion.

This is not a role where every sales system, marketing process, handoff, and reporting rhythm is already fully built. The right person will be comfortable creating structure while also moving opportunities forward.

You will help build the sales process, improve lead quality, guide existing sales/client success resources, and work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure what is sold can be delivered well.

This role reports to the General Manager and works closely with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and the vCIO function.

What You Will Do In this role, you will help build and lead a stronger Sales & Client Success function while actively contributing to business development and revenue growth. You will: Lead and participate directly in business development, including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, preparing proposals, following up, and closing new business. Provide leadership, coaching, accountability, and direction to the Sales & Client Success team, helping establish clear expectations, stronger sales habits, and more consistent performance as the function continues to mature. Build discipline around pipeline management, lead quality, sales cycle tracking, forecasting, and proposal follow-up. Help define and pursue ideal clients that fit Blackcreek’s service model, delivery capacity, and margin expectations. Guide and align existing sales and client success resources, including the vCIO function, toward clearer goals, stronger habits, and better visibility. Translate managed IT services, cybersecurity, service continuity, vCIO support, and technical solutions into clear business value for non-technical clients. Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and the General Manager to ensure sales commitments are realistic, profitable, and deliverable. Use client feedback, account insights, and service trends to identify retention risks, expansion opportunities, and areas for improvement. Contribute to stronger sales messaging, lead generation, market positioning, and marketing direction as the sales function matures.

What You Bring Required Experience Direct experience selling technical, complex, or service-based solutions to business clients. Experience with active business development, including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, following up, preparing proposals, and closing new business. Formal sales training, sales education, or structured sales development experience. A strong understanding of sales as a discipline, including pipeline management, qualification, forecasting, proposal development, follow-up, and account growth. Ability to explain technical or complex services in plain business language. Professional judgment and communication skills suited to working with business owners, executives, internal teams, and technical stakeholders. Comfort in a hands-on leadership role where you are both selling directly and helping build the sales function. Experience working across teams to align sales commitments with delivery capacity, pricing, scope, and margin expectations.

Preferred Experience Experience in managed IT services, MSP sales, cybersecurity, IT services, telecom, software, cloud services, or another technical services environment. Experience selling recurring revenue services, long-term contracts, renewals, or account expansion opportunities. Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating sales resources. Experience helping build or improve a sales process, CRM discipline, lead qualification process, or sales reporting structure. Exposure to marketing, lead generation, campaign support, market positioning, or sales messaging.

Can balance revenue growth with client trust and delivery reality. Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences. Follow through consistently and bring discipline to sales activity.

Work Arrangement and Travel This role is based in Stratford, Ontario. The role is primarily in-office, with flexibility for hybrid work where appropriate and for client meetings. Local client travel will be required. Access to reliable transportation is required for client travel. Mileage is reimbursed. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
