Overview

As a National Environmental Practice Leader, you will be responsible for nationally growing Gallagher's market share within all industries leveraging your product expertise in Environmental. Acting as a specialized resource - you will working closely with producers and account managers in ensuring clients receive comprehensive solutions. You will be responsible for increasing market penetration, managing key relationships, gathering market intelligence and identify unserved market needs across the country.

Reporting to SVP of National Sales & Specialties, the position will primarily responsible for building our National Environmental practice as well as supporting producers with placing complex risks across all Canadian offices.

How You'll Make An Impact

Assist Areas Presidents in building environmental expertise regionally to support the growth in the National Practice Collaborating with US and UK retail and wholesale Environmental leaders to build a unified approach Examine business practices in each office, and collaborate with Area Presidents to develop national best practice standards from an Environmental perspective. Working closely with the Sales Leaders, be responsible for growth & increased penetration nationally Meet with large clients and prospects on a regular basis, and be able to clearly explain coverage to them Placement of large/complex Environmental policies across all industries Conduct benchmarking and policy review exercises on behalf of the client Understand all Environmental policy wordings, draft endorsements where needed. Be able to explain differences in forms, pros and cons of choosing one set of terms over another. Be a strong negotiator of market terms, conditions, pricing. Find creative solutions to difficult situations Prepare professional renewal strategy documents and client proposals Research and support claims team on complex Canadian claims Be visible in all Gallagher offices, answering questions and developing opportunities in each location. Develop relationships in each office, and be the first point of contact for Environmental inquiries Develop strong market relationships with key Gallagher insurance underwriters in the Environmental space both domestically and internationally Manage, organize and update client lists and relevant data using Gallagher’s broker management systems as well as Salesforce. Provide education opportunities to employees across the Gallagher network Prepare and conduct high quality client presentations Assist in the creation and distribution of Environmental thought leadership, webinars, whitepapers and marketing material. Develop Gallagher policy forms, support with RFP requests and assist in creating nationally branded submission/renewal templates.

About You

Secondary School Diploma required, College or University Degree preferred. 10+ years of Specialized Environmental placement, broking or practice expertise preferred Broker's license required (Can be obtained), licensing in multiple provinces highly valued. CAIB, CIP, CIM or other relevant certifications/designations strongly preferred.
