Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Business Developer to support the commercialization and global adoption of Wireless PnC's EV charging technology. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, strategic partnerships, and market expansion within the mobility, transportation, automotive, or cleantech sectors.
This individual will play an important role in identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with industry stakeholders, supporting partnership initiatives, and contributing to the expansion of domestic and international business activities. As a member of the business development team, the successful candidate will contribute to the company's growth strategy while helping position Wireless PnC as a leader in next-generation wireless charging solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include:
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify business opportunities in Canada and international markets. Build and maintain relationships with potential customers, strategic partners, investors, manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities within OEMs, fleet operators, municipalities, transit agencies, and infrastructure partners. Secure pilot projects, demonstration programs, and commercial deployments. Develop revenue-generating partnerships and channel sales opportunities. Identify opportunities for joint ventures, technology partnerships, and channel partnerships. Negotiate partnership agreements, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), pilot agreements, and commercial contracts. Perform research and prepare background information for meetings with investors, partners, and prospective clients. Assist with business planning activities and contribute to the company's growth and commercialization strategies. Identify industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and business forums that support the company's expansion objectives. Assist in the preparation of business proposals, presentations, partnership agreements, and investment-related documentation. Conduct research on potential pilot projects, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and customers. Support the development of domestic and international supply chain relationships. Collaborate with engineering and management teams to gather customer feedback and align market opportunities with product development initiatives.Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies related to electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, charging infrastructure, and mobility solutions. Represent the company in meetings, conferences, trade shows, and other business development activities.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position include:
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, strategic partnership development, sales, or commercial strategy within the mobility industry. Experience with electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, autonomous vehicles, or transportation technologies is considered an asset. Experience working with global companies and developing international business relationships. Ability to structure and close strategic partnerships and pilot agreements. Proven track record of closing complex B2B deals or partnerships. Experience supporting hardware sales initiatives and commercial partnerships. Experience working with supply chains, manufacturing partnerships, sourcing activities, and vendor relationships. Business-level writing and presentation skills. Verbal communication and relationship-building abilities. Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strategic thinking and business planning abilities. Ability to understand market opportunities and business operations. Self-starter mindset with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with business research tools, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
Academic Requirements:
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Commerce, Engineering Management, Technology Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Extensive and directly relevant industry experience in business development, strategic partnerships, commercialization, market expansion, or related areas may be considered in lieu of the academic requirement.
• Experience within the mobility, electric vehicle, transportation, automotive, cleantech, or technology sectors is considered an asset.
