Role Description This full-time Outside Sales Representative role is a hybrid position based in the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan Area, with a mix of on-site customer visits and some work from home. In this role, the representative develops and maintains strong relationships with contractors, builders, and commercial customers, acting as a trusted resource for building solutions and product recommendations. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, conducting sales presentations, preparing quotes, and following up to close sales. The representative collaborates with store teams to ensure accurate pricing, timely deliveries, and responsive customer service. Regular travel within the territory, proactive communication with clients, and consistent pipeline management are essential components of the role. Qualifications Strong relationship-building and customer service skills to foster long-term partnerships. Effective communication and sales presentation skills to convey solutions clearly and persuasively. Proven ability in new business development, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing opportunities. Knowledge of building materials, construction industry practices, or related sectors is an asset. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to manage time, territory, and priorities independently. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular travel within the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan Area. Experience in outside sales or account management, preferably in retail, building supplies, or B2B environments. High level of integrity, collaborative mindset, and commitment to customer-focused service aligned with company values.
