Company Overview We are a leading Ontario-based solar project development company specializing in large-scale and programmatic rooftop solar solutions for commercial, industrial, and public-sector clients. Our platform integrates origination, development, structuring, and long-term ownership of solar assets, delivering bankable, repeatable solutions to sophisticated energy and infrastructure buyers across Ontario.

Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Origination professional to lead business development and project origination across Canada, with a focus on Ontario, Alberta and Nova Scotia. This individual will own the full sales lifecycle—from market engagement and pipeline creation through commercial structuring and contract execution—for multi-site and single-site rooftop solar projects exceeding 1 MW.

This role is best suited for a process-oriented, consultative seller who is comfortable engaging senior executives, understands Ontario electricity-market dynamics, and can translate complex technical and commercial concepts into compelling value propositions.

Key Responsibilities Develop a sales plan that integrates with the overall corporate strategy Build and manage a diversified origination pipeline across C&I and public-sector clients Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, needs analysis, solution design, negotiation, and close Develop tailored value propositions incorporating electricity pricing, demand charges, carbon strategy, incentives, and long-term energy economics Originate and close programmatic rooftop solar portfolios and individual projects in excess of 1 MW Engage directly with senior executives, asset owners, facilities leaders, and procurement teams Collaborate closely with internal development, engineering, finance, and legal teams to deliver executable projects Maintain disciplined CRM and pipeline management processes, including forecasting and reporting Monitor and incorporate changes in local electricity markets, policy, incentives, and utility frameworks into sales strategies Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings as required

Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5+ years of experience originating and selling solar or distributed energy projects in Ontario Proven track record of closing large-scale rooftop solar transactions (≥1 MW) Strong understanding of Ontario electricity market dynamics, including pricing structures, LDC frameworks, and energy cost drivers Demonstrated B2B sales experience selling to senior executives (C-suite, VP, Director-level) Highly process-driven with a consultative, solutions-based sales approach Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead complex sales processes Strong commercial, financial, and contractual acumen Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
