Role Description This role is a part-time, hybrid one based out of our branch office in Markham, with flexibility for some work-from-home activities. In this role, you will connect with prospective and existing clients to discuss their financial needs, explain PFSL’s services, and introduce suitable mutual fund and financial planning solutions in a compliant, education-focused manner. Typical responsibilities include conducting initial consultations, following up on referrals and leads, preparing basic financial snapshots, and supporting clients in organizing their financial information. You will collaborate with experienced representatives, participate in training sessions, and stay informed about PFSL products, regulatory requirements, and industry updates. The role involves maintaining accurate records, adhering to compliance standards, and building long-term relationships through consistent, professional communication.
Qualifications Strong client service and relationship-building skills, including the ability to listen actively, ask clarifying questions, and communicate complex information in a straightforward way. Sales and outreach capabilities, such as comfort with prospecting, networking, conducting consultations, and following up with clients in a professional, non-pressured manner. Organizational and analytical skills, including attention to detail, accurate documentation, and the ability to help clients review and structure their financial information. Communication and presentation skills, including clear verbal and written communication, basic presentation skills, and confidence in speaking with individuals and small groups. Interest in financial services and literacy, with a willingness to learn about mutual funds, regulatory requirements, and PFSL’s education-focused advisory approach. Ability to work both onsite in Markham, ON and remotely, managing time effectively and collaborating with team members and supervisors. Relevant education or experience in business, finance, sales, or a related field is an asset; licensing or registration requirements will need to be met in accordance with regulatory standards. Commitment to ethical conduct, suitability standards, and ongoing professional development within a regulated financial services environment.
The compensation is solely commission-based.
