Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Showroom Sales Consultant to join our Lighting Division. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the lighting, electrical, home décor, interior design, construction, or related industries and possess a passion for helping customers select lighting solutions that meet both functional and aesthetic requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work in a professional showroom environment while building long-term relationships with homeowners, contractors, designers, builders, and electricians.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist customers visiting the showroom while delivering exceptional customer service. Guide customers through the selection of residential and commercial lighting products. Recommend lighting solutions based on customer needs, project requirements, budgets, and design preferences. Prepare quotations, process sales orders, and follow up on customer inquiries and opportunities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, contractors, electricians, and interior designers. Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person consultations. Maintain current knowledge of lighting products, industry trends, specifications, and applications. Coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability, lead times, and special orders. Assist with merchandising, showroom presentation, and maintenance of product displays. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Contribute to achieving showroom sales targets and overall business objectives.
Qualifications
Previous experience within the lighting, electrical, construction, home décor, interior design, or related industry is strongly preferred. Minimum 2 years of sales and customer service experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, and point-of-sale systems. Ability to learn and communicate technical product information. Experience working with builders, contractors, designers, or electrical suppliers is considered an asset.
