The National Strategic Accounts Lead is accountable for the retention, growth, and overall performance of Coverdale’s national strategic accounts. This role provides strategic and operational oversight for a defined portfolio of high-value accounts and programs, ensuring exceptional partner experience, strong program health, achievement of contractual and internal KPIs, and delivery against financial targets. The Lead serves as the senior accountable owner and escalation point for strategic account partners, leads national business reviews, and drives cross-functional alignment with Coverdale leadership and operational teams, while partnering with adjacent BioScript divisions and internal stakeholders as required. This role operates at a director-equivalent level of accountability through enterprise-wide governance, KPI ownership, and financial stewardship for assigned accounts.

Your Mission:
National Key Account Ownership (Retention, Growth, Governance)
- Act as the national senior relationship owner and escalation point for select strategic account partners (pharma, institutional, and other industry partners as applicable).
- Establish and execute annual account plans, including growth strategies, joint priorities, and service roadmaps aligned to Coverdale and partner objectives.
- Lead quarterly and/or bi-annual business reviews (QBRs) and executive sponsor meetings; translate performance data into insights, decisions, and actions.
- Drive account retention through proactive risk identification, issue resolution leadership, and structured partner communications.
Program Health, Performance, and KPI Accountability
- Own program health for key accounts, including service performance, clinical/operational quality, patient experience inputs, and contractual compliance.
- Accountable for defining, monitoring, and improving program KPIs and performance dashboards in partnership with Operations and Analytics/Reporting resources.
- Ensure timely development and execution of corrective action plans when KPIs and/or service levels trend off-target.
- Ensure delivery aligns to partner requirements, quality guidelines, and applicable regulatory expectations (including adverse event and product quality complaint reporting pathways as required).
Financial Ownership and Commercial Discipline
- Own account financial performance, including profitability assessments, and variance explanations for assigned portfolio.
- Partner with Finance and operational leaders to establish targets, track performance, and implement actions to improve margin and cost-to-serve.
Cross-Functional Leadership (Coverdale + BioScript)
- Build strong, collaborative working relationships with Coverdale leadership and operational teams to ensure alignment between partner commitments and execution at the clinic/network level.
- Work cross-functionally with other parts of Coverdale and BioScript (e.g., patient programs, pharmacy, logistics, business development/commercial, quality/compliance, and technology) to enable integrated solutions for partners.
- Provide clear, senior-level stakeholder management across competing priorities, urgencies, and escalations.
Growth Enablement and New Service Launch Support
- Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities within existing key accounts (new sites, new therapies, expanded services, process improvements).
- Provide oversight and governance for new launches and major account expansions to ensure readiness, clear accountability, and measured outcomes.
Continuous Improvement and Strategic Insights
- Bring forward-thinking insights on the infusion clinic and pharmaceutical landscape; translate trends into opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and socialize best practices for national key account management within Coverdale.
Leadership Responsibilities:

Coaches, develops, and supports team members (direct reports and/or matrixed contributors, as applicable) through regular feedback, performance reviews, and career development planning.

What You Bring to the Table:
Education:
- University degree in business, healthcare administration, healthcare professional, or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA and/or formal project management designation/certification is considered an asset.
Experience:
- 7+ years progressive experience in key account management, client/partner relationship management, program management, or related commercial/operations leadership roles; healthcare services, specialty pharmacy, or pharmaceutical services experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience owning a portfolio P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and performance management against targets.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and driving change across operational teams and stakeholders.
- Prior people leadership experience (direct or matrix leadership), including coaching and performance management, is strongly preferred.
Skills:

Strong account management capability with executive-level partner communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Demonstrated ability to translate operational performance and financial data into strategic insights and clear action plans.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including creation and delivery of executive-ready presentations.

High level of business acumen with strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and cost-to-serve drivers.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) are an asset.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Compensation: At BioScript, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
