As we continue our international expansion, we are looking for an experienced Independent Sales Representative to develop and grow our presence in Western Canada.
The Opportunity Waymark is seeking an Independent Sales Representative to lead the brand's commercial development in Western Canada. This is an opportunity for an experienced and entrepreneurial sales professional who operates independently and enjoys building long-term customer relationships. As Waymark's representative in the market, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, opening retail accounts, and driving sales growth across Western Canada. Working directly with the team in Barcelona, you will act as the local face of the brand and play a key role in establishing Waymark's presence within the Canadian outdoor market.
Key Responsibilities Identify and open new retail accounts throughout Canada. Present Waymark collections to buyers and retail decision-makers. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers. Manage the sales process from prospecting to order placement and follow-up. Visit retail stores regularly to strengthen relationships and support sell-through. Represent Waymark at trade shows, industry events, and commercial meetings. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences. Provide market feedback to the product and marketing teams. Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the brand's growth strategy in Canada.
Requirements Essential Proven experience in sales within the outdoor, sportswear, apparel, or lifestyle industries. Strong knowledge of the Canadian retail market and consumer culture. Existing relationships with outdoor, sports, or lifestyle retailers in Canada are highly valued. Native-level English. Excellent communication, negotiation, and account management skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own territory. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Canada. Strong entrepreneurial mindset and results-oriented approach. Passion for outdoor activities, hiking, trekking, and adventure travel.
Preferred Experience representing international brands in Canada. Knowledge of the Canadian outdoor market.
Compensation & Contract Type Independent Sales Representative (Independent Contractor) This is a 100% commission-based position. Please note that this role does not include a fixed salary, retainer, employment contract, or employee benefits. Compensation is entirely performance-based and directly linked to the sales generated. This opportunity is specifically intended for self-employed sales professionals, commercial agents, and independent representatives who are comfortable working autonomously and building a territory through their own commercial activity.
