The successful candidate will be required to travel to our buildings mainly in the Downtown and Southwest areas, with additional travel to buildings in other areas as needed.
Summary
The Leasing Specialist is responsible for leasing, renewals, resident relations, and day-to-day site support. This role delivers a high level of customer service while supporting occupancy, revenue, and community standards through effective leasing, administration, and collaboration with site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to rental inquiries, conduct apartment tours, and lease suites Manage prospect follow-up from initial inquiry to file closure and meet monthly leasing objectives Pre-screen applicants and complete leasing, renewal, and related documentation Handle renewal inquiries, resident meetings, and post-renewal follow-ups Maintain accurate leasing files and complete required administration on a tablet Collect rent, follow up on defaults, and prepare bank deposits Ensure compliance with site procedures related to customer safety, access, and documentation Ensure suites are show-ready and conduct vacant and annual inspections Communicate observed maintenance or housekeeping issues and follow up as required Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and contractors Track unit availability, inventory, and pricing movement, and communicate insights to the leader. Provide leasing office coverage during peak periods Support resident engagement activities and positive community relations Perform other duties as assigned by the Leader
Experience & Educational Requirements
Minimum two (2) years of sales and customer service experience Post-secondary education considered an asset Knowledge of residential leasing or property management considered an asset
Technical Requirements
Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel Experience using web-based systems and leasing or CRM platforms Comfort working on a tablet for daily administrative tasks Ability to learn and adapt to new technology Valid Class 5 driver’s license Reliable vehicle suitable for winter driving conditions preferred
