We’re looking for an Account Manager join the MCAN’s Residential Lending Team.

This job posting is a replacement role, and we are seeking to appoint a new team member to fill this existing position. The successful candidate will be expected to continue and build on the important work and responsibilities associated with this role, ensuring continuity and ongoing contribution to our team’s objectives. Job Summary The Account Manager plays an important role in the team, by working directly with clients and is responsible for originating and renewing mortgages. The Account Manager will also generate leads through a variety of sales channels and handles customer service-related transactions.

Responsibilities Maximize the retention of MCAN Home’s existing clients via renewals, early renewals, conversions, refinances, or new purchase transactions Monitor retention results to ensure renewal retention targets are met, exceeded or if below target, determine a strategy to improve results Regular communication with management to discuss deals/market intel/escalations to improve client retention Prepare loans coming up for maturity for underwriting Liaise with MCAN Servicing in all related client inquiries/questions Deliver outstanding customer service to clients in areas outside of Servicing’s expertise Promote MCAN’s offerings to external clients applying online, through referrals Maintain mortgage agent license in good standing as specified in the required jurisdiction Collect and pre-screen all documentation submitted by direct and existing MCAN clients while processing their mortgage applications and renewals. Skills and Qualifications Undergraduate degree in one of the following programs preferable: finance, economics, urban land development, accounting, or business administrations Experience in mortgage funding, servicing/administration, account management Experience working as a mortgage agent, broker or underwriter a plus Have a strong customer focus with the ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Proven ability to work on and prioritize work tasks in order to manage multiple deadlines.
