At BCM, we’re not just about insurance—we’re about fostering lasting relationships with our policyholders. We are on the lookout for a new member to join our fast-growing team! The Insurance Team Supervisor at BCM Insurance plays a key role in supporting the sales team, ensuring smooth operations, and driving performance. This position works closely with the Business Development Manager (BDM) to oversee the sales department, provide guidance to Insurance Advisors and Customer Service Representatives (Associates), and maintain high underwriting quality and service standards. The Sales Supervisor is responsible for training, workflow management, quality assurance, and sales team development, contributing to an efficient and customer-focused environment.
QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR: University degree in Business or Communications, or equivalent experience in similar, regulated financial services environments. OTL or RIBO licenced. Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), CAIB designation or similar considered an asset. Valid Ontario driver’s licence. Experience in sales, business development, coaching, supervision, or team development. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills, particularly in identifying insurance related needs Positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities and taking ownership of one’s own work. Self-starter with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; intrinsically motivated. Demonstrated abilities to lead by example in word and deed.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL: Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and support to Insurance Advisors. Help Advisors improve client conversations, quote presentation, follow-up habits, sales confidence, and overall effectiveness. Support new and developing Advisors as they build consistency, independence, and confidence in their roles. Conduct regular Advisor check-ins to review goals, opportunities, challenges, performance trends, and development needs. Assist with onboarding and training related to sales process, lead handling, client communication, quoting standards, documentation, and internal workflows. Support consistent use of BCM’s sales processes, procedures, systems, and client experience standards. Identify coaching opportunities, stalled opportunities, skill gaps, and recurring performance concerns. Work with internal departments to help Advisors resolve workflow barriers and support client needs. Provide feedback and recommendations to the Business Development Manager on sales trends, Advisor development needs, and process improvement opportunities.
Experience: 5+ years insurance experience 3+ years supervisory experience 3+ years business development experience, preferably in an insurance or financial services related environment Familiarity with insurance systems
Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday Salary: $70,000-$95,000
