We are moving forward with a clear growth plan, which offers strong opportunities for personal and career advancement. We are looking for a results-driven, strategic, and people-focused Sales Manager for our transportation division.
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth within the transportation market. This role involves strategic and operational leadership to support the achievement of revenue targets and expand market share in the transportation sector. The Sales Manager builds strong client relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and provides ongoing coaching and support to the sales support & sales executive team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Actively promote and sell Arconas’ full range of products in designated transportation hubs and national bus/rail/cruise accounts Use a systematic approach to reach clients, architects/designers, contractors, end users, etc. Work with VP of Sales to develop a strategic business plan, identifying targets and measures in customer satisfaction, customer acquisition, expansion, and retention Call on designated Architect & Design firms, presenting Arconas products, updating information on standard products and finishes, assisting with projects at a local level Accompany/support Account Managers for the yearly A&D “roadshow” lunch n’ learn, as scheduled Respond to RFP Proposals & Tenders for large transportation hubs with specified accounts, as required Motivate and energize the sales support team to make proactive decisions in all their communications with their Account Managers and cross-functional teams Oversee the hiring and training of sales support staff and conduct annual performance reviews with direct reports Coach the support team in all aspects of professional presentations, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills Implement a sales training and orientation program to educate new hires in the Sales department Create and monitor monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals and keep the sales team apprised of the progress Support sales/production efforts to create significant market share growth Work collaboratively with operations and customer service teams and foster a culture of continuous process improvement Prepare monthly sales reports and submit them to the VP of Sales Professionally represent Arconas at industry events and trade shows Provide required support to the VP of Sales
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in sales-related fields of study, including at least 5 years in client relationship management, professional services, business development, and team leadership Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and sales performance tools Proven track record in sales planning, prospecting, client relationship building, and negotiation skills Proven strong leadership and motivating capability to lead and manage a team Self-starter who is comfortable developing own success Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills (written/verbal) and ability to interact with senior leadership, C-level management/customers. Strong relationship management skills Strong creativity and critical thinking abilities Strong detail-oriented and self-organization skills Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously High energy, positive attitude, and strong presentation skills Customer-obsessed and ready to solve the changing needs of our clients Ability to grow and maintain relationships with any individual, irrespective of the background and type of personality Willingness to put in more working hours, even at odd times Enjoy change and is flexible to the needs of the business as it grows, and in return is provided with an opportunity to grow and progress Dynamic, interactive, fast-paced growth environment Availability for approximately 15-20% domestic, transborder or international travel
