About the Role Invico is seeking an accomplished and commercially driven capital markets professional to join our growing team as Vice President, Sales, Western Canada. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Equity Capital Markets.
The Vice President, Sales, Western Canada, will be responsible for driving the growth of Invico's investment strategies across an assigned territory, with a mandate to deepen existing advisor relationships and cultivate a high-quality pipeline of new distribution partnerships. The successful candidate will operate across the full spectrum of distribution channels, including the CIRO retail broker network, family offices, and institutional intermediaries.
Candidates must be based in Western Canada. Strong preference will be given to those located in Calgary.
Responsibilities Own and drive wholesale distribution across all approved channels in Western Canada, with a focus on deepening penetration across the CIRO broker network, independent wealth management firms, family offices, and institutional intermediaries. Lead the regional sales and marketing efforts for Invico's flagship strategies - Invico Diversified Income Fund, Invico Credit Opportunities LP, and Invico Energy Yield LP - cultivating trusted, long-term relationships with advisors and gatekeepers across the distribution landscape. Represent Invico in a senior capacity at advisor meetings, broker events, and investor presentations, articulating the investment thesis and competitive positioning of Invico's strategies with clarity and conviction. Champion a culture of compliance and professional integrity, operating in full accordance with Invico's policies and procedures and all applicable exempt market regulations under the oversight of the Chief Compliance Officer. Maintain disciplined and accurate records of all sales activity, relationship development, and pipeline management within Invico's CRM platform. Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and assume additional responsibilities as the business evolves and grows.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree is required. CFA, CIM, or CSC considered an asset. 5+ years as a wholesaler within the fund management industry. Physically based in Western Canada, with preference given to those located in Calgary. Commitment to the sales process and a self-starter. Strong business communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment, effectively manage time, and excel in a team setting.
