SHOWROOM SALES CONSULTANT – LIGHTING DIVISION
Location: Markham, ON Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Position Summary We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Showroom Sales Consultant to join the Lighting Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in lighting, electrical, home décor, interior design, construction, or a related industry and enjoy helping customers find the right lighting solutions for both residential and commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to build long-term relationships with homeowners, contractors, designers, builders, and electricians while working in a professional showroom environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome and assist showroom customers while delivering exceptional customer service. Guide customers through the selection of residential and commercial lighting products. Recommend lighting solutions based on project requirements, budgets, and design preferences. Prepare quotations, process sales orders, and follow up on inquiries and sales opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, contractors, electricians, and interior designers. Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person consultations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lighting products, industry trends, and technical specifications. Coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability, lead times, and special orders. Assist with merchandising, showroom presentation, and display maintenance. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Contribute to achieving showroom sales goals and business objectives. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of sales and customer service experience. Previous experience in the lighting, electrical, construction, home décor, interior design, or related industry is strongly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong relationship-building and customer service abilities. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, email, and point-of-sale systems. Ability to learn and communicate technical product information effectively. Experience working with builders, contractors, designers, or electrical suppliers is considered an asset. Work Schedule Full-Time Permanent Position Approximately 44 hours per week Monday to Saturday (5 working days per week) One weekday off each week Sundays off Must be available to work Saturdays Typical showroom hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Career Growth This position offers long-term career growth and advancement opportunities.
