About the role
Omnify, a subsidiary of Lumify Inc., is a North American leader in advanced back-lighting systems and illuminated architectural lighting solutions. We design and manufacture innovative lighting platforms built around our patented LumiSheet® technology. We're looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate new sales opportunities and develop early-stage customer relationships. This role is critical to Omnify's sales engine — identifying potential customers, qualifying opportunities, and building pipeline for the Regional Sales team. It's ideal for someone motivated, curious, and eager to build a career in professional sales, working closely with Marketing and Regional Sales Managers to uncover project opportunities across North America. What You'll Do: Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, email, and digital outreach Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns Identify and engage new potential customers within target markets Re-engage dormant accounts to identify new opportunities Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and projects Qualify opportunities and gather key project information Create and manage new accounts and contacts in the CRM Maintain accurate records of outreach and opportunity development
Requirements
1–3 years of professional experience (sales, customer-facing, or business development roles preferred) Strong communication and relationship-building skills Curiosity and willingness to learn about new industries and products High level of organization and discipline in managing outreach activities Comfort initiating conversations with new prospects Strong motivation to develop a career in professional sales Experience with CRM software an asset
