Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to lead our sales efforts within the East Coast designated region. This position is based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The TSM will strategically maintain and grow existing accounts and source new business opportunities while providing an exceptional level of sales acumen and customer service.
The TSM builds sustainable relationships with key customers which includes both retail outlets and medical professionals (prescribers and influencers). They will provide superior sales and consulting services for the brand and the category by regularly meeting with their client base in order to maintain, enhance and develop their business.
The TSM is responsible for achieving yearly sales goals while maintaining expected performance standards and must have excellent communication skills in order to consult with their clients, providing clear advice on how to better use SIGVARIS's products or services to enhance their businesses.
Responsibilities Connect the medical prescription to a SIGVARIS dealer by partnering with a variety of sales outlets (pharmacies, DME stores, etc.) to further grow and enhance the sales of SIGVARIS branded medical compression stockings; Prospect and secure new business to increase the productivity of the territory; Provide education and support to numerous stakeholders including fitters, pharmacists, and related personnel; Detail, educate and train a broad mix of medical professionals including: vascular surgeons, general surgeons, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, phlebologists, medical Residents, nurses and other key influencers; Assist with consumer issues where required and be the “go to” person within the category; Collaborate with colleagues under the direction of the Regional Manager to help manage / lead / present at conferences and educational seminars in order to raise awareness of the category and provide training; Meet and exceed annual performance standards and key performance indicators; Manage expense budgets and reports on time and within budget; Record activity in the electronic sales reporting system and follow sales calls guidelines (monthly visits, in-service calls, cold calls, etc.).
Other activities include, but are not limited to the following: Manage “Healthy Leg Days” including the measuring and fitting of products (requires bending / crouching) Work in the retail environment to ensure the product is merchandised appropriately (may require re-setting wall displays, hanging overhead signs, moving product in boxes, etc.); Collect market / competitive intelligence regularly; Maintain a professional image while representing SIGVARIS and respect the values and norms of the organization; Have the ability to drive (sometimes for distances beyond 2 hours) and schedule appointments in an efficient manner to maximize time between appointments; Perform other duties as assigned from time to time (sales meetings, medical events, etc.).
Requirements 2-5 years’ experience as a sales professional / account manager with a proven track record in retail, B2B sales, business development, or account management within a relevant industry; Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or other relavent field of study; Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for managing sales activities; Valid driver’s license for regional travel (40% of time); Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex deals; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships; Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously; Demonstrated ability in analysis skills for market research and sales forecasting; Shows initiative and ability to positively influence and effectively collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals. Knowledge of marketing principles as they relate to sales strategies is a plus.
