About the role
Purpose of Position In this new role reporting to the National Account Manager -Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales and new business development efforts across multiple channels, to increase sales among existing and new customers/retailers in Canadian and US markets. Primary emphasis on online retail channel management along with focus within mass, grocery and pet retail chains. In this highly analytical role, you will develop national online account tactics and optimize advertising, improve product visibility, and develop e-commerce strategies that drive measurable results. Account Management coverage will extend into mass, grocery and pet retail chains where you will build/enhance strong customer relationships and provide strategic and operational day-to-day leadership in support of assigned customers. You will deliver results by influencing and working cross-functionally, building and maintaining effective customer relationships and by generating, qualifying and closing new business leads across an assigned region. • Develop and manage collaborative partnerships and ownership of annual joint business plans with a focus on the online channel combined with assigned customers within grocery, general merchandise and pet retailers.
• Educate customers, distributors, and sales agents on product attributes and benefits while displaying HUMILITY.
• Develop and drive strategic plans and initiatives to meet or exceed revenue goals. Have high engagement with distributors and customers to collaborate and partner during the planning process.
• Provide key inputs for demand planning - own the bottom-up forecast for the S&OP process for each account owned. Properly manage forecasting: analyze current sales figures, prepare and deliver quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
