Role Description The Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cambridge, ON, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of contractor and construction industry accounts. In this role, the Account Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, responds to inquiries, and provides product recommendations across roofing, waterproofing, cladding, coatings, insulation, and other building envelope solutions. Daily tasks include processing orders, preparing quotes, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. The Account Manager monitors customer activity, identifies new sales opportunities, follows up on leads, and supports pricing and negotiation within company guidelines. This role also involves resolving customer issues, maintaining account records in CRM or other systems, and collaborating with management to support strategic sales initiatives and customer success. Qualifications Strong customer relationship management skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a service-oriented approach. Sales and account management abilities, such as opportunity identification, follow-up, basic negotiation, and experience working with commercial or residential contractors (roofing or building envelope experience is an asset). Organizational and administrative skills, including attention to detail, order processing, documentation, and proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, email). Knowledge or interest in construction materials, roofing, waterproofing, cladding, coatings, or insulation, with the ability to learn product specifications and applications. Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, ON, collaborating effectively with internal teams and managing multiple customer requests in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism, integrity, and problem-solving skills when handling customer concerns and operational challenges. Relevant education or experience in sales, business, construction supply, or a related field; previous experience in building materials or distribution is considered an asset.
