ABOUT THE POSITION Reel Data is seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager to lead business development, client relationships, and day-to-day operations as we expand our audience testing and market research services across Canada's screen-based industry. This is a flexible in-office or virtual position that is ideal for a well-connected industry professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping producers make data-informed creative and business decisions.

SPECIFIC DUTIES Solicit new business by introducing Reel Data’s service to filmed entertainment producers across Canada. Act as the main point of contact for existing and new clients Negotiate client contracts and oversee communication and logistics from the point of a locked sale to testing and reporting Manage the execution of recruited test screenings in conjunction with the recruitment and membership team Oversee reporting and client-specific analysis in conjunction with the data team Manage and liaise across multiple internal departments—including Executive Partners, Finance, Recruitment, Membership, and Data—to ensure seamless alignment, timely information flow, and successful execution of all client projects and test‑screening initiatives. Represent Reel Data at industry events

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You may come from a production company, distributor, broadcaster, agency, industry association, market research firm, sales organization, or government funding body. You have developed strong relationships across Canada's screen-based industry and understand the challenges producers face when bringing content to market. You are comfortable and competent in a technology-forward environment. You are a self-starter and a people-person.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Excellent communication skills Strong network of contacts within the industry Proven ability to build and maintain industry relationships Comfort presenting to executives, producers, and funding bodies Working knowledge of the post-production process Holds a CAVCO ID number or is qualified to obtain one Love of movies

‘NICE TO HAVE’ SKILLS: Data analysis experience Market research experience French-speaking and/or understanding of the Quebec media environment
