We’re looking for a Sales Lead (Media) to help drive revenue, grow brand partnerships, and lead sales opportunities across the Northly Group network.
About the Role As Sales Lead (Media), you’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing inbound and outbound brand conversations, building client relationships, and supporting the full sales process from first pitch to campaign execution. This role is ideal for someone who understands digital media, social platforms, branded content, influencer marketing, and content-driven advertising. You should be confident pitching brands, agencies, and decision-makers while helping them understand how to reach Canadian audiences through Northly Group’s media network.
Responsibilities Lead media sales efforts across Northly Group’s portfolio of platforms Prospect and outreach to brands, agencies, local businesses, event companies, and national advertisers Build and maintain strong client and agency relationships Pitch sponsored content, social distribution packages, influencer amplification, event partnerships, and custom campaigns Manage the sales pipeline from outreach to proposal, follow-up, closing, and campaign handoff Work with internal content and campaign teams to ensure sold campaigns are clear, executable, and aligned with client goals Help create proposals, media plans, rate cards, and campaign recommendations Track leads, client conversations, deal stages, and revenue opportunities Identify trends, categories, and brands that align with Northly Group’s audiences Support sales systems, workflows, reporting, and growth as the department scales Represent Northly Group professionally in client and agency conversations
Qualifications Experience in sales, media sales, partnerships, advertising, influencer marketing, or business development Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram, TikTok, and short-form content Comfortable pitching brands, agencies, and decision-makers Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple leads, campaigns, and conversations at once Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced media environment Familiarity with Canadian brands, agencies, nightlife, events, entertainment, food, lifestyle, or culture is a plus Experience with CRM tools, Google Workspace, and proposal decks is an asset
