They are the main contact for a group of customers across many key segments of the footwear industry – ie. department stores, off-price retailers and club business. They collaborate closely with the product development and marketing teams by providing clear mandates based on client needs and strategy. They must be knowledgeable of in-season performance and must create sales opportunities with existing and new potential customers.     RESPONSIBILITIES · Responsible for achieving wholesale sales targets, growing existing and driving growth with new accounts. · In addition to revenue targets, understanding margin and profitability is key in these segments · Ensures client success through establishing a strong partnership, regular communication, and delivery of quality customer service. · Responsible for establishing the specific distribution strategy for each brand and identifying new potential customers. · Presents seasonal collections and business cases to buyers and executives. · Accountable for in-season management of sales and inventory to drive incremental revenue opportunities. · Collaborates with Product Development to guide development based on client needs and feedback. · Creates, maintains, and ensures accuracy of all buying tools: calendars, price lists, sales reports, market analysis etc. · Manage working relationships with all internal support departments (ie. logistics, operations, COM, POM) through regular touch bases. · Manages a team of 2-3 sales coordinators / managers. · Clear understanding of brick & mortar accounts as well as their respective ecom business’, wholesale buys and/or drop shipment channels.     QUALIFICATIONS · US Market knowledge and connections are an asset · Footwear experience is an asset · Bachelor’s degree in business or related field · Sales experience required (5-7 years) · A well-rounded individual with exposure to buying, distribution, planning, supply chain and marketing. · Excellent communication and organizational skills · Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment. · Works well cross-functionally, both with internal and external stakeholders · Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint
