The Travel Consultant will work directly with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budgets, and will design customized itineraries including flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and comparing travel options, preparing quotes, making and modifying reservations, and managing travel documentation. The role will handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing timely and accurate information on travel products, policies, and requirements. The Travel Consultant will also resolve issues such as schedule changes, cancellations, and special requests, while maintaining detailed records and using booking systems and CRM tools to ensure smooth, efficient service. Qualifications Strong Travel Consulting and Travel Management skills to advise clients, design itineraries, and coordinate end-to-end trips. Proficiency in handling Travel Arrangements and Reservations, including booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities using industry tools and platforms. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and resolve issues with a professional, client-focused approach. Experience with travel industry systems (e.g., GDS, online booking tools) and solid attention to detail for documentation, pricing, and policy compliance. Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple bookings, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfort working with digital tools such as CRM software, email platforms, and office productivity applications. Previous experience in a travel agency, tour operator, or related travel role is preferred; relevant certifications or travel and tourism education are an asset. Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, and collaborate effectively with a diverse team and client base.
