WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Prepare accurate cost estimates for custom-engineered mining and industrial equipment, including materials, labour, equipment, tooling, and subcontracted services Review RFQs, technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop detailed customer proposals Create and review 3D sales models using SolidWorks to support technical quotations Collaborate with engineering, operations, purchasing, and production teams to develop accurate pricing and project schedules Prepare and submit professional customer quotations and follow up throughout the sales process Coordinate project kick-off meetings and ensure a smooth transition from sales to production Maintain proposal documentation, customer records, and ERP system data Build strong customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, and technical discussions Identify opportunities to provide custom engineering solutions that improve customer operations Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites, pre-bid meetings, trade shows, and project meetings as required
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating, sales support, project coordination, or a similar technical role Experience within manufacturing, mining, heavy industrial equipment, or custom fabrication environments Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, assemblies, and 3D models Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office; ERP experience is an asset Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and custom-engineered products Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously A proactive, self-driven approach with strong problem-solving abilities and a desire to continuously learn Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal stakeholders Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required Post-secondary education in engineering, engineering technology, manufacturing, business, or a related technical field is considered an asset
