We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Wealth Advisor to join our team in our Winnipeg and Steinbach branches. The Senior Wealth Advisor seeks to manage and grow the wealth management portfolio by providing exceptional service to both existing and potential members through promotion and sales of investment products and services.
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned book of business, providing member centered investment guidance aligned with their financial goals, needs, and risk tolerance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive retirement strategies for members and prospective members, leveraging expertise in tax planning, financial planning and investment principles.
- Strengthen member relationships by identifying financial needs and proactively recommending appropriate products and services to support their long‑term objectives.
- Maintain current knowledge of investment products, services, policies, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate advice and full compliance with industry standards.
- Proactively build and deepen relationships with new and existing members through needs‑based assessments, uncovering both immediate and future financial opportunities.
- Develop and execute business development strategies, including outreach, appointment generation, and community engagement to acquire new members and grow the wealth advisory business.
- Provide tailored financial advice by understanding members’ investment and banking needs, introducing appropriate strategies, and recommending suitable products and services.
- Manage a structured member relationship plan, delivering timely and accurate service and advice while meeting sales, performance, and financial planning objectives.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, generating high‑quality referrals and ensuring members receive comprehensive financial solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years formal education or equivalent (undergraduate degree preferred)
- A minimum of 6-8 years of job related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Hold an IIROC license in good standing
- CFP License or working towards a CFP License would be considered an asset
- Strong relationship management and sales skills, including in-depth knowledge required to promote products and services
- Deep proficiency in modern financial tools, planning platforms, and advisory technologies to support data‑driven member solutions
- Strong understanding of wealth management strategies including tax planning, investment products and portfolio construction and management, estate planning, retirement planning and risk management
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and ongoing professional development within the financial services industry
- Excellent relationship‑building and influence skills to support member acquisition, retention, and engagement
- Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry, including products, regulations, and advisory best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess member needs and provide tailored financial solutions
- Proven collaboration and teamwork abilities, contributing effectively to cross functional member service
- Well‑established ties to the community, with the ability to develop and grow long‑term member relationships
