Position Purpose

The EV Channel Sales & Field Support Specialist is a Canada‑based, remote position responsible for expanding Lincoln Electric’s presence in the Canadian electric vehicle charging market. This hybrid role combines technical field support, channel partner enablement, and strategic sales development. Can be located anywhere in Canada within close proiximity to a major airport.

The position is accountable for increasing market share, supporting reseller and installation partners in the field, and providing hands‑on technical expertise to ensure successful deployment, commissioning, and servicing of EV charging solutions. This role also contributes feedback and market insights to influence product development and overall growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Channel Development

  • Demonstrate EV charging products and solutions to customers and partners, effectively communicating both commercial value and technical performance.
  • Develop and manage strong working relationships with Canadian customers, distributors, EPC firms, and installation partners.
  • Achieve channel and customer revenue targets while promoting the full EV charging product portfolio across assigned regions.
  • Build and execute sales strategies to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Prepare professional sales presentations, proposals, and quotations independently to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal Canadian and North American sales teams to support cross‑selling into industrial and commercial accounts.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data in Salesforce and support annual planning activities.

Field Support Engineering

  • Provide on‑site and remote field troubleshooting for EV charging hardware, software, communications, and electrical integration issues.
  • Serve as the technical liaison during pre‑sales assessments, installation planning, commissioning, and post‑installation support.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis and prepare clear documentation for Engineering, Product Management, and Quality teams.
  • Support field testing, validation activities, and pilot programs for new products or features.
  • Advise contractors, system integrators, and partners on installation best practices, wiring requirements, and configurations aligned with Canadian electrical standards (e.g., CSA, provincial codes).

Key Responsibilities (Continued)

Reseller & Partner Training

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain technical and commercial training programs for channel partners, installation companies, and distributor networks across Canada.
  • Conduct hands‑on training sessions (virtual and in‑person) covering commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Produce partner‑enablement materials including guides, checklists, and training modules to support product adoption.
  • Evaluate partner competency and provide ongoing coaching to ensure consistent, high‑quality field support across the channel.

Market Growth & Product Influence

  • Collect and analyze Canadian market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and influence product roadmap decisions.
  • Engage customers in ongoing product training, support programs, and business reviews to strengthen relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver timely reports, market summaries, and customer performance updates to leadership.
  • Support cross‑functional initiatives tied to Lincoln Electric’s corporate strategy.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the EV charging sector or related industries (e.g., power electronics, electrical distribution, industrial automation).
  • Demonstrated experience in sales or technical commercial roles within a manufacturing or technology environment.
  • Experience working with Canadian customers, distribution channels, or electrical contractors is preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, EV charging infrastructure, and related technologies.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues, interpret schematics, and support field installations.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to develop long‑term customer and partner relationships.
  • Self‑motivated, innovative thinker capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Ability to travel across Canada up to 50% of the time, including occasional U.S. travel for training or team meetings.
