Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Strategic Quotes Specialist to support Westlund’s industrial valve business, with a focus on project quoting and national customers. Reporting to the National Valve Sales Manager, this role plays a critical part in supporting project opportunities, ensuring accurate and competitive quotations, and collaborating across teams to drive successful project execution.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in Canada, offering flexibility while working closely with a national team.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, data accuracy, and collaboration, while contributing to major projects from early engagement through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage project and strategic quotations for industrial valve opportunities

  • Support national customers with consistent, accurate, and timely pricing and technical information

  • Work closely with sales, vendors, and internal stakeholders to develop competitive quote strategies

  • Review project specifications and ensure alignment with customer requirements and product offerings

  • Maintain and update quote information within internal systems

  • Analyze quote data to support pricing decisions and profitability

  • Provide ongoing support to the valve team throughout the project lifecycle (RFQ award execution)

  • Ensure a high level of customer service and responsiveness on all quote-related inquiries

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in quotations, inside sales, project support, or a customer-facing role within industrial distribution or a related field

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, spreadsheets, pricing models)

  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably M3, is an asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset

  • Interest or experience in industrial valves, PVF, or project-based sales is an asset

  • Bilingual applicants will be given preference

Additional Information

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 with profit sharing and vehicle allowance
