About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is pivotal in assisting our branch and sales department in gaining, maintaining, and servicing customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a multifaceted environment, handling everything from order entry and tracking sales leads to coordinating quotes, providing customer service, and assisting at the sales counter.
Major Responsibilities
- Front-line Support: Assist customers enthusiastically via email, over the phone, and at the sales counter.
- Inquiry Management: Handle incoming and outgoing customer inquiries promptly, following up on order and quote status.
- Issue Resolution: Coordinate the prompt handling of customer service requests, including pricing, expediting, billing, credits, and claims.
- Order Processing: Efficiently manage accurate order entry and continuous order maintenance.
- System Navigation: Navigate multiple systems to seamlessly build, track, and monitor customer orders.
- Scheduling: Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timeline accuracy and reliable customer fulfillment.
- Account Collaboration: Work alongside Account Managers to provide technical and product support to customers.
- Project Tracking: Track sales leads and project timelines, communicating updates clearly to both the sales team and customers.
- Inventory Awareness: Identify and highlight potential product shortages or fulfillment issues based on sales forecasts/reservations.
- Data Maintenance: Assist in the ongoing development and accurate upkeep of the customer database.
- Reporting: Create and generate regular sales and administrative reports for branch management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a sales role (inside sales, account support, or retail sales).
- Industry Knowledge: 2+ years of experience working with electrical products or within a related technical industry.
- Computer & Tech Adaptability: Highly comfortable using computers as your primary daily work tool. Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn, adapt to, and navigate new software and internal systems.
- Drive & Attitude: A great attitude, strong self-motivation, and a proactive willingness to learn and grow with the team.
- Product Aptitude: The ability to learn the company?s extensive catalogue of products and services, with the confidence to effectively discuss them with customers.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on professional customer service.
- Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tracking systems and order schedules accurately.
