About the role

Senior Director, Advisory Services Toronto, ON | Hybrid (Wednesday & Thursday in office)

Our client, a respected and mission-driven organisation within the insurance and financial planning space, is seeking a Senior Director, Advisory Services to join their leadership team. Backed by a well-established parent organisation that advocates for and supports professionals across Ontario, our client delivers tailored insurance and retirement solutions to a highly engaged member base, with a strong focus on education, awareness, and empowering members to make informed financial decisions.

In this role, you will lead and evolve a high-performing advisory team, driving sales strategy, member engagement, and business growth across Ontario and Atlantic Canada. You will oversee a team of 2 Directors and 18 Advisors, providing hands-on leadership, coaching, and strategic direction. This is a highly visible role that blends sales leadership, marketing strategy, and operational excellence, with a strong focus on enhancing the member experience and scaling performance across the business.

Responsibilities include developing and executing sales and business development strategies, coaching leaders and advisors on best practices and advanced financial concepts, and ensuring strong compliance and reporting standards. You will partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, and service teams to strengthen the overall value proposition and drive measurable results. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on involvement in sales activities, including supporting and closing key opportunities when needed. You will also play a key role in shaping how educational content, campaigns, and advisor-led conversations drive member awareness, trust, and long-term engagement.

What we’re looking for • Active LLQP licence- non-negotiable, copy of license will be required with application • 10+ years of people leadership experience, specifically leading sales teams • Strong background in financial services, with deep knowledge of insurance and retirement planning • Proven experience managing sales leaders and advisors • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, develop, and elevate team performance • Strong sales, marketing, and business development mindset • High level of comfort with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), AI tools, and modern sales enablement platforms • Excellent communication skills and executive presence • Strong operational discipline and understanding of compliance • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, commerce, or related field • Must be based in or able to commute to Toronto for required in-office days • Experience leveraging education, content, or thought leadership to drive engagement and influence buying decisions

Compensation & Benefits • $130,000 base salary + 13% bonus • Comprehensive benefits package • Pension with employer match • 4 weeks vacation • Additional 4 weeks per year of work-from-anywhere flexibility
