Accountabilities: The Sales Director - Retail will be responsible for driving enterprise revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and contributing to the evolution of the sales organization. This role requires a strong understanding of enterprise sales motions, customer needs, and market opportunities, while partnering cross-functionally to deliver exceptional outcomes. Identify and target enterprise prospects through market research, networking, outbound strategies, and relationship-building initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders within major retail organizations. Own end-to-end enterprise sales cycles, including prospecting, discovery, presentations, negotiations, contract discussions, and closing activities. Manage complex, high-value opportunities and effectively navigate multi-stakeholder decision processes. Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with revenue goals, market trends, and customer needs. Create compelling sales presentations, proposals, and business cases tailored to enterprise customers. Partner with marketing teams to support demand generation initiatives, campaigns, and sales enablement efforts. Help define and improve sales processes, methodologies, and go-to-market strategies within a growing organization. Collaborate with product, technical, operations, and customer teams to ensure successful customer outcomes. Provide market insights and customer feedback to help influence product strategy and business priorities. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise sales leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing complex deal cycles, and building strategic customer partnerships. This role requires strong communication skills, commercial judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in an evolving technology environment. 8-12+ years of experience in enterprise customer-facing sales roles with a focus on identifying and closing large accounts. Proven experience managing significant sales quotas, including $1M+ quota ownership and complex six- and seven-figure annual contract value deals. Demonstrated success leading full sales cycles from prospecting through negotiation and close. Strong enterprise relationship-building skills with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders. Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions. Proven ability in prospecting, lead generation, and developing new business opportunities. Experience building sales strategies, teams, or go-to-market motions in early-stage or high-growth environments. Strong understanding of customer-centric selling and business value creation. Familiarity with AI technologies, industry trends, and emerging software solutions is highly desirable.
