The Opportunity The agency is hiring a Paid Media Buyer / Manager to directly manage campaigns across Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
This is not a general digital marketing manager role. The person in this position will spend most of their day directly inside the advertising platforms, building campaigns, managing budgets, testing creative, troubleshooting tracking issues, and making optimization decisions based on performance.
The right person is a hands-on media buyer who can quickly identify why performance has changed and knows which levers to pull to improve results.
Responsibilities: Set up, manage, and optimize campaigns daily across Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads Manage budgets, bids, campaign structure, targeting, and spend allocation across client accounts Monitor performance closely and make real-time optimization decisions Design and run structured testing programs across creative, audiences, landing pages, bidding strategies, and campaign structure Diagnose changes in CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, traffic quality, and overall campaign efficiency Own and troubleshoot conversion tracking across GA4, Google Tag Manager, pixels, Conversion API, and server-side attribution Ensure campaign and conversion data is accurate across advertising and analytics platforms Translate performance findings into clear recommendations for clients and internal teams Use AI tools to improve reporting, analysis, campaign workflows, and optimization processes Directly manage meaningful monthly advertising spend across multiple accounts
Requirements: Deep, current, hands-on experience with both Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager Strong technical understanding of attribution, pixel implementation, Conversion API, and server-side tracking Experience directly building and optimizing campaigns, not only overseeing agencies or external media partners Ability to diagnose performance changes and take action, rather than simply reporting results Experience managing conversion-focused campaigns tied to purchases, subscriptions, sign-ups, or other measurable business outcomes Agency experience is preferred, although strong in-house candidates will also be considered Experience in media, entertainment, streaming, subscriptions, or digital products is helpful but not required Comfortable working directly with clients and explaining campaign performance and recommendations Based in Canada, with preference for candidates in Vancouver or Toronto A stable employment history and interest in joining a team for the long term
