CONTENT CURATOR

Every hotel on Tern has a page. Right now, too many of those pages are working against us. Our #1 hotel by itinerary volume, still shows photos from the 1970s. Other well-known properties have no photos at all. Descriptions read like they were written about no hotel in particular, because they were.

We're hiring two Content Curators, on a 6-month contract, to fix that one property at a time. You'll go hotel by hotel through our highest-volume properties, replace bad or missing photos with ones that actually make someone want to book, and rewrite descriptions so they read like a real person who's been there wrote them. This is production work: a defined queue, a clear bar for what "good" looks like, and a lot of properties to get through.

You'll start with our top 598 hotels, the properties that make up half of all itineraries booked on Tern, and keep going from there.

What You'll Do

Work through the hotel content queue property by property, replacing outdated, low-quality, or missing photos with current, professional, sellable images Rewrite generic Giata descriptions into specific, accurate copy that reads like it was written about that hotel and no other Use an AI-generated first draft as a starting point for descriptions, then edit and verify rather than starting from zero Flag factual errors in Giata's data as you find them Use Tern's internal content override tool to publish your work directly to the property record Hit weekly volume targets against the 598 ? 5,229 property rollout without sacrificing quality Send regular async updates on progress and blockers to the team

What You Have

Exceptional written English: Non-negotiable. Your descriptions need to read as native-level, error-free, and specific, not machine-translated or generic. Sharp visual judgment: You can tell a current, professional, sellable hotel photo from a dated or low-quality one at a glance, and you know what makes a traveler want to book versus scroll past. A production mindset: You move fast through a high-volume queue without cutting corners. This is closer to focused, self-directed data work than open-ended research. Strong communication: You're comfortable sending regular async updates and collaborating with a distributed team across time zones. High agency: You're not just clearing the queue, you're looking for problems and ways to make the process better as you go.

HOURS

This role is aligned with the rest of Tern's PH team schedule. You will be a part of the Tern team in the Philippines. That runs from 4am to 12pm PH time. We're flexible on exact start time as long as the work is getting done and you're available for team syncs (4pm ET/ 4am PH).
