About the role
Overview Our client, Canada's largest national distributor of process equipment, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability through the promotion of rotating equipment solutions and repair services across the oil & gas, municipal, fire protection, mining, and general industrial sectors. The successful candidate will develop strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and provide technical sales support while managing a portfolio of key accounts. Key Responsibilities Promote and sell rotating equipment, integrated system solutions, and repair services to meet and exceed sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories and markets. Build and maintain trusted relationships with existing clients, key stakeholders, and decision-makers. Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational requirements and identify opportunities for growth. Gather and analyze competitive intelligence and market information to support business development strategies. Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, quotations, and service agreements. Manage customer accounts, sales opportunities, forecasts, and performance metrics using Salesforce CRM. Collaborate with internal engineering, service, and operations teams to deliver effective customer solutions. Maintain a strong understanding of products, applications, and industry trends. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in rotating equipment sales, repair services, or a related industrial sector. Strong knowledge of conventional, upstream/midstream oil & gas, and industrial sales environments. Proven track record of developing and managing multiple customer accounts. Ability to read, understand, and communicate technical documentation effectively. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Preferred Traits Trustworthy and customer-focused professional.
