Position Overview:
SSI Schaefer, a global shelving, racking and automated material handling equipment manufacturer, is looking for a Junior Business Development Representative. We are looking for a driven professional who thrives on prospecting and uncovering new business opportunities. Essential Functions:
- Generate new leads across Canada to increase company’s new business pipeline and potentialize sales success.
- Active prospecting through cold calls, cold emails etc.
- Responsible communication while contacting potential customers and introducing SSI Schaefer and our solutions.
- Build credibility and trust across all customer contacts.
- Uncover business initiatives and future investments in intralogistics.
- Create, monitor, and revise lead generation action plans to generate the required sales opportunity pipeline to meet sales targets.
- Generate leads and qualify leads.
- Document prospect information and details in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Develop prospecting reports.
- Professional, dependable, committed and punctual.
- Results-oriented and highly motivated with a positive attitude.
- Superb organization, time management & record keeping skills.
- Fulfill assigned tasks & complete projects as directed by your superior.
- Curiosity to learn and understand new products and technologies.
- Customer/leads visits.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English and French.
- Minimum of 3+ years of business development or sales experience in material handling, investment goods, or intralogistics solutions.
- BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.
- Ability to find new opportunities with prospection and outreaching.
- Proven new business development results in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal skills dealing with internal and external customers.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task and work in a high-growth, fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
- Proficient in CRM software (SalesForce), Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High motivation for sales activity, working toward targets and KPIs.
- Resilience and Emotional Intelligence.
- Ability to travel within the territory.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
