Position Overview

In the role of a Wealth Counsellor, you hold a pivotal position within the Kinsted Wealth Counsellor team. The ideal candidate is well-rounded with strong interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, organized, able to work well within a team, has an entrepreneurial attitude, excellent presentation abilities, and is able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be given a book of clients to manage with mentorship from our senior Wealth Counsellors. An existing book of clients is an asset, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management and Research Conduct portfolio analysis, asset allocation reviews, and manage positions and transitions. Execute trades and manage capital gain/loss strategies. Provide performance attribution and support general trading operations. Business Development Build strong relationships with referral partners and prospective clients. Create client proposals and presentations. Relationship Management Serve as a key support to referral partners and clients in proactive and reactive client service. Act as primary relationship manager, handling reviews, proposals, updating asset mixes and documentation. Prepare meeting materials and manage KYC/IPS updates and client onboarding data. Review ad hoc client reports and quarterly client statements to ensure accuracy.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

Portfolio Management & Research Portfolio analyses and asset allocation reviews completed accurately and on schedule for assigned book of clients. Trades and capital gain/loss strategies executed correctly and within required timelines. Business Development Growth in book of clients and/or referral partner relationships over time. Proposals and presentations delivered that support new business development. Relationship Management Reviews, proposals, and documentation updates completed within agreed service timelines. KYC/IPS updates and onboarding data kept current and accurate. Quarterly client statements and ad hoc reports reviewed for accuracy with no material errors. High responsiveness and client satisfaction, as reflected in feedback from referral partners and clients.

Behaviours, Skills, and Competencies

3-5 years of experience in Investment Management or related field. Deep understanding of financial markets and investment management. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, and/or quantitative analysis is preferred. Ability to be registered immediately as an AAR (Associate Advising Representative) with the ASC (CIM or CFA Level 1 completion and 2 years of relevant investment management experience, or previous registration).
