About the Job Personal Lines Sales Broker The Insurance Lab is a rapidly growing insurance brokerage committed to delivering exceptional client experiences through expert advice, innovative technology, and a client-first approach. We are expanding our Personal Lines Sales Team and are looking for motivated, results-driven brokers who are passionate about helping clients protect what matters most. If you enjoy building relationships, closing sales, and providing trusted advice, we’d love to hear from you. What You’ll Do As a Personal Lines Sales Broker at The Insurance Lab, you’ll work with qualified leads generated through our marketing and referral channels — and you’ll be encouraged and supported in building your own book of business through your personal and community networks. This combination gives you both a strong starting pipeline and real control over your long-term growth. Using a consultative sales approach, you’ll identify client needs, recommend appropriate coverage solutions, and guide clients through the insurance buying process. You’ll have access to multiple insurance markets and a streamlined sales process designed to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities • Respond to inbound leads and client inquiries promptly • Conduct needs assessments for auto, home, and personal insurance clients • Present insurance solutions and explain coverages clearly • Build and maintain strong client relationships • Develop and grow a personal client base by leveraging your own community, network, and referral relationships • Cross-sell and round out accounts where appropriate • Adhere to underwriting guidelines and compliance requirements • Maintain accurate client documentation and records • Stay current on insurance products, carrier updates, and market trends • Deliver an exceptional customer experience from quote to bind What You’re Amazing At • Building rapport and trust with clients • Identifying customer needs and recommending solutions • Proactively generating your own leads through networking and community relationships, not just working inbound • Managing multiple conversations and priorities efficiently • Communicating professionally and confidently • Taking ownership of your results and performance • Working collaboratively while remaining self-motivated • Closing sales while maintaining a high standard of client care Your Qualifications • Active RIBO License (Required) • Must be able to work on-site at our Whitby, Ontario office on a regular basis (hybrid role) • Personal Lines insurance experience is considered an asset • Existing network or community ties (e.g. cultural, professional, or local associations) that can be leveraged to generate new business is a strong asset • Strong sales aptitude and customer-focused mindset • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Comfortable working with technology, broker management systems, and carrier portals • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred Languages The ideal candidate can communicate in one or more of the following languages: • Spanish • Russian Multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
