The Country Manager – India is responsible for leading and executing Alvis Pathway's student recruitment and marketing strategy across India, driving sustainable growth in student enrolments and partner engagement throughout the country. This role oversees national recruitment activities, marketing initiatives, agent partnerships, and institutional relationships to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and the delivery of high-quality student pipelines into Alvis Pathway programmes and partner institutions. Working closely with senior leadership and regional stakeholders, the role develops market growth strategies, strengthens recruitment channels, expands institutional partnerships, and ensures a data-driven approach to recruitment planning and performance management. The Country Manager – India also plays a key role in enhancing brand visibility, market penetration, and the development of scalable recruitment models that support Alvis Pathway's mission to widen access to international education. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of student mobility trends across India, with a particular focus on pathway education, transnational education (TNE), and international student recruitment.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Develop and implement national marketing strategies aligned with recruitment targets and priority Indian markets. Ensure consistent brand positioning across all marketing channels, emphasizing accessibility, academic quality, and progression outcomes. Lead national digital marketing campaigns, content development, and localized marketing initiatives. Collaborate with agents, schools, and institutional partners on co-branded marketing activities and student engagement events. Recruitment Design and execute student recruitment strategies across India. Manage and support in-country recruitment representatives, education consultants, and regional partners. Build and maintain high-performing agent networks and institutional partnerships throughout the country. Drive student recruitment pipelines from enquiry through enrolment into pathway and progression programmes. Represent Alvis Pathway at recruitment fairs, exhibitions, school visits, and partner engagement activities. Performance Management & Growth Establish recruitment targets by region, market segment, and recruitment channel. Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions when required. Identify new market opportunities and develop expansion strategies within India. Scale successful recruitment and marketing initiatives across multiple states and territories. Develop annual recruitment and marketing plans to support organisational growth objectives. Market Intelligence & Reporting Analyse market trends, competitor activities, student demand, and policy developments across India. Maintain CRM data quality and ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. Produce regular recruitment and marketing performance reports for senior leadership. Use data insights to optimize recruitment strategies, campaigns, and conversion rates. Commercial & Revenue Targets Own national student recruitment targets and revenue forecasts. Manage national recruitment and marketing budgets effectively. Optimize return on investment across recruitment channels and marketing activities. Support scholarship, pricing, and promotional strategies to maximize enrolment outcomes. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with institutional partner requirements, local regulations, and visa requirements relevant to the Indian market. Oversee agent due diligence, contracts, and adherence to ethical recruitment practices. Identify and mitigate risks related to recruitment performance, market dependency, and partner relationships. Maintain alignment with quality assurance standards and progression partner requirements.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in International Education, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Professional experience in international education, student recruitment, marketing, or transnational education. Relevant professional certifications in marketing, leadership, business development, or data analytics are desirable. Experience Minimum 4–5 years of experience in international student recruitment, education marketing, or business development. Proven track record of achieving recruitment growth within the Indian market. Experience managing recruitment activities, agent networks, and strategic partnerships. Strong background working with education agents, schools, colleges, and international institutions. Experience in pathway programmes, foundation studies, international qualifications, or transnational education models is highly desirable.

Technical & Functional Expertise Strong understanding of student mobility trends and key source markets across India. Experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent recruitment platforms. Strong knowledge of digital marketing, lead generation, conversion funnels, and campaign optimization. Familiarity with UK and international admissions processes, visa requirements, and compliance frameworks. Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and revenue targets. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English required; proficiency in one or more Indian languages is highly desirable. Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally as required.
