Account Executive - Advertising Sales

Industry: Advertising / Media Sales (No experience in advertising required) Location: Oakville, ON Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 days remote Compensation: $65,000 base & $140K OTE Commission: Approximately $24,000 per closed deal
We are hiring an Account Executive for our client in the advertising space. This is a phone-first, hunter-style sales role for someone who enjoys prospecting, researching companies, and opening conversations with senior decision-makers.
In this role, you will build your own prospect lists, research companies, identify strong sales triggers, and call CEOs, CMOs, Presidents, VPs of Marketing, and other senior leaders. You will pitch high-impact advertising packages and create interest with brands looking to build awareness, launch campaigns, and gain premium exposure.
The right candidate is creative, confident on the phone, and comfortable with rejection. You should be able to find a strong reason to call, create urgency, and explain the value of advertising in a clear and compelling way.
What You’ll Do Research and source new business opportunities Cold call senior marketing and executive decision-makers Pitch premium advertising packages Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, RocketReach, and AI to build targeted lists Send media kits and create qualified sales opportunities Work closely with senior leadership and the production team
What We’re Looking For 1 to 3+ years of sales experience Strong cold calling and prospecting ability Experience in media, advertising, recruitment, real estate, telecom, or another outbound sales environment is an asset Creative, resilient, coachable, and money-motivated Comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment This is a strong opportunity for a true sales hunter who wants to sell a unique advertising product with a high commission payout and real earning potential.
