About the role

PALTmed is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Publications to lead and grow our publications portfolio while advancing clinical excellence in post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) medicine.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic publishing professional who enjoys collaborating with physicians, advance practice providers, volunteer leaders, editorial boards, and subject matter experts to produce high-quality, evidence-informed publications that make a meaningful impact on patient care.

What You'll Do

As the Senior Manager, Publications, you will:

Develop and execute PALTmed's publications strategy in alignment with organizational priorities. Lead the planning, production, and distribution of our publications portfolio. Manage the development and publication of clinical guidance documents, position statements, and emerging practice standards. Launch and oversee PALTmed's new Practice Standards Program. Support editorial boards, committees, and writing groups throughout the publication process. Oversee publication workflows, editorial quality, style standards, and production timelines. Monitor publishing trends and recommend innovative approaches to content delivery and member engagement. Collaborate across departments to support organizational publications and communications.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have:

Bachelor's degree in English, Publishing, Communications, Media, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Five or more years of experience in publishing, medical writing, association management, or content leadership. Experience working with academic, scientific, or medical journals, editorial boards, or peer-review processes preferred. Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple editorial and content workstreams simultaneously. Experience working with volunteers, clinicians, editorial boards, or professional societies is highly desirable. Knowledge of healthcare publishing or post-acute and long-term care is a plus.

Work Environment

Fully remote position Flexible work environment 40-hour work week with core collaboration hours of 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. ET Occasional travel required
